Where to Find the Best Cancun Seafood
With the Gulf of Mexico on its doorstep to the North, and the Caribbean Sea to the East, it’s hardly surprising that Cancun’s seafood restaurants are as amazing as its breathtaking beaches. We love Cancun seafood so much that we just had to give you a guide of our best places to eat. These are just incredible!

The Ritz Carlton Cancun
The Ritz Carlton Cancun has a restaurant that can deliver joy to any seafood lover.
Seafood is best enjoyed near where it’s been caught, and what better way of achieving this than by dining on the beach in your private Casita overlooking the very sea where your meal was caught? Dining al fresco has never been more picturesque!
We recommend the “Local Catch Tikin Xic” for an authentic Meso-American style meal. This traditional Yucatan Mayan dish is famous due to its cooking method. The fish is marinated with native achiote and cooked in banana leaf, the flavors are incredible!
This intimate eating experience is perfect for those looking for a quiet moonlit meal where the accompanying sounds are the calm waves breaking on the shore.

Flamingos Restaurant Cancun
Flamingos Restaurant, traditions still going after 41 years. Certainly is no wonder that It has become one of the most emblematic restaurants in Cancun.
It is well known for its local Cancun seafood and Mexican Specialities. Our recommendation is to order a mouthwatering grilled fish or a fresh fish fillet- the specialities.
The menu also has some amazing Mexican seafood dishes, such as Aguachiles- shrimps submerged in a delightful liquid sauce made of lime juice, chillis, salt, onions and cucumbers, prepared in a traditional Molcajete. Some other exquisite options are the famous Tostadas, Ceviches and Lobsters.
For All Things Lobster:
Lorenzillo’s
Nowhere does fresher lobster than Lorenzillo’s!
You won’t need to take anyone’s word for it either as you can head to the lobster tank and pick your live crustacean of choice to be prepared by the chefs, it doesn’t come any fresher than that!
The lobsters served at Lorenzillo’s are caught at Isla Mujeres, the island just off the coast of Cancun. Responsible eaters will be satisfied that all lobsters served by this restaurant are well and sustainably looked after from the moment that they’re caught.
We recommend the “Lobster Lover” menu for those that are seeking the pure lobster experience, or the “Surf and Turf” menu for those looking for a wider range of Cancun seafood.

The Crab House
As its name suggests, The Crab House’s specialty Cancun seafood is crab, and you’ll get the best crab you’ve ever tasted!
Just a short drive from the Krystal Cancun Resort, this restaurant has a gorgeous west-facing patio that overlooks Laguna Nichupté, perfect for sunset dining!
The Crab House specializes in Alaskan King Crab’s which can have a five-foot leg span! If you’re feeling hungry, we recommend going simple and choosing the Alaskan King Crab grilled or poached with melted butter. It’s the purest way that you can eat it!
The Crab House serves the finest food with service and views to match!
